Competition has begun to create Google rival

Google killer - this name has a new contest, which began January 3 this year. Its initiator was the Singaporean company, which offered all comers to try their hand at creating a new search engine that could compete with such giants as Google.
The competition is open to both individual developers and teams of specialists (although there may be no more than 10 ). As far as search engines, then it must be full-fledged search engines, which have a database (in this case there should be included not only Web pages but also multimedia files ) and the outstanding quality results. However, the game is worth it because the prize fund is 100. 000 U.S. dollars. Contest organizers have great hopes that from the developers will still be offered a revolutionary new search engine. As for the competition, then take part in it may be everyone, but registration is limited to a period 29 February 2009.
